Landing Pages

What is the difference between a website and a landing page?

A website is for exploration.  A landing page is for a conversion.

A conversion is when a website visitor takes a desired action (usually only one per page).  Typically this will be making a purchase, submitting contact information through a form, or downloading an app or piece of content.

The most essential part of a landing page is the copy that’s written for it.  But, the visual design is also important.

Give your copy a jet pack: Powerful landing page design

I want to show you the real power of great landing page design, so first check out the raw text for this landing page so you can see the copy totally bare bones, without any visual support.  Then come back and look it over with the added visual effect below.  Once you see the raw text, you’ll be amazed at what the design does for it.

Okay.  Some solid copy, written by a colleague of mine, yet it’s very bare bones without any aesthetic appeal.

Ready?

Let’s see what I did to support this lovely copy:

Even though copy is king, crafty visual support goes a long way.

Results:

So far this landing page has produced super low-cost $10 leads. That means it cost the ABA therapy center $10 to have someone submit their name and phone number and book a time for a consultation. $10 per lead is outstanding. Even more so when you consider that each ABA Therapy client will generate $15,000 – $50,000 on average per year.

Mobile first approach

In 2016 Facebook made a whopping 84% of their ad revenue through mobile users. That’s why we take a mobile-first approach to landing page and ad designs. We design everything on a desktop computer, but we have in mind that most customers come through on mobile devices.  Check out the mobile version of this landing page (click on the image to zoom in).
